This Privacy Policy describes how Billdr Inc. and its affiliates (“Billdr”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information in connection with the use of Billdr PRO and related services (the “Platform”). This Policy applies to individuals and businesses that create an account, access the Platform through web or mobile applications, or otherwise interact with Billdr, including through customer support, sales, or AI-powered features.
This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by Billdr in connection with the Platform and does not apply to third-party services, integrations, or websites that may be accessible through the Platform. Such third parties operate independently and are governed by their own privacy policies.
Billdr operates both as a controller and as a processor of personal information, depending on the context. Billdr acts as a controller with respect to account registration data, billing information, and Platform usage data. In contrast, Billdr acts as a processor or service provider with respect to personal information that customers upload to the Platform, including project data, client information, and communications. Customers are responsible for ensuring that they have obtained all necessary rights and consents to provide such information to Billdr and to use the Platform in compliance with applicable laws.
Billdr collects personal information that you provide directly, as well as information collected automatically through your use of the Platform.
When you create an account or use the Platform, you may provide information such as your name, email address, telephone number, company name, and business identifiers. Depending on your use of the Platform, we may also collect licensing information, insurance documentation, tax numbers, and other compliance-related materials. In connection with billing and subscriptions, we collect billing addresses and payment-related information. Payment processing is handled by third-party providers such as Stripe, and Billdr does not store full credit card numbers on its own servers.
Customers may also upload data to the Platform in the course of using the services. This may include project information, estimates, invoices, documents, images, and personal information relating to their own clients or end users. Billdr processes this data on behalf of the customer.
We also collect information automatically when you use the Platform. This includes usage data such as log files, session activity, and interactions with features, including AI-powered functionalities. We may collect technical information such as IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers. Location data may be collected through IP-based methods. Where mobile features such as timesheets or workforce tracking are used, precise location data may be collected through GPS or similar device technologies. This collection requires your explicit consent and can be disabled at any time through your device settings.
When using the mobile application, Billdr may request access to certain device features, including the camera, file storage, contacts, and location services. The Platform may also send notifications via email, SMS, or push notifications. These permissions can be managed through your device settings.
Billdr also processes data related to interactions with its AI-powered features. Inputs provided to AI tools, as well as generated outputs, may be logged and analyzed to improve the performance, reliability, and safety of these systems. Billdr may use aggregated and de-identified data derived from such interactions for model training and product improvement purposes. AI-generated outputs are not guaranteed to be accurate and should not be relied upon as professional advice.
Billdr uses personal information to operate, maintain, and improve the Platform. This includes providing access to the Platform, authenticating users, managing accounts, processing payments, enabling collaboration between users within an organization, and delivering customer support.
Personal information is also used to improve the functionality, performance, and security of the Platform, including through analytics and internal research. Billdr may use information to develop and enhance AI-powered features and automation capabilities.
We may communicate with users regarding service-related matters, including updates, security notices, and administrative messages. Where permitted by law, Billdr may also use personal information to send promotional communications or conduct marketing activities. Users may opt out of marketing communications at any time.
Billdr does not sell personal information. However, we may share personal information with third parties in certain circumstances.
We share information with service providers that perform functions on our behalf, including cloud hosting providers, payment processors such as Stripe, analytics providers, and communication service providers. These parties are authorized to use personal information only as necessary to provide services to Billdr.
Where customers integrate third-party services with the Platform, information may be shared with those services at the customer’s direction. Billdr is not responsible for the practices of such third-party services.
Within an organization’s account, personal information may be accessible to authorized users, such as employees or collaborators, in accordance with the account’s configuration.
Billdr may also disclose personal information where required to comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or governmental requests, or where necessary to enforce our agreements or protect the rights, property, or safety of Billdr, its users, or others.
In the event of a merger, acquisition, financing, or other corporate transaction, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable confidentiality obligations.
Billdr retains personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Platform and fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. This includes retaining information for the duration of an active account and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory requirements.
In certain cases, Billdr may retain aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify an individual. Such information may be used indefinitely for analytics, research, and product development purposes.
Billdr implements administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. These measures include encryption in transit, access controls, and the use of secure cloud infrastructure.
Despite these measures, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and for promptly notifying Billdr of any suspected unauthorized access.
Personal information may be processed and stored in jurisdictions outside of your province, state, or country of residence, including in Canada and the United States. These jurisdictions may have different data protection laws than those in your location. By using the Platform, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in these jurisdictions.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights with respect to your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your information, as well as the right to withdraw consent where applicable.
Individuals located in Quebec have additional rights under applicable law, including the right to request the cessation of dissemination of personal information and the right to data portability where technically feasible.
Residents of US states with applicable privacy legislation, including California, Virginia, Colorado, and Texas, may have additional rights under their respective state laws. Billdr will honor such rights to the extent required by applicable law.
Requests to exercise any of these rights may be submitted by contacting Billdr's Privacy Officer at support@billdr.ai. Billdr will respond to such requests in accordance with applicable law and within the timeframes prescribed by the relevant jurisdiction.
Billdr uses cookies and similar technologies to enable core Platform functionality, maintain user sessions, analyze usage, and improve performance. Users may manage cookie preferences through their browser settings; however, disabling certain cookies may impact the functionality of the Platform.
The Platform is intended for use by businesses and is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. Billdr does not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. Billdr is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of such third parties.
Billdr may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on the Platform with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Platform after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
